Description
Twelve hulls. One survivor.
KwikJet X has been in build since 11 April 2021. Twelve different hull files later, we took the best feature from each iteration and merged them into a single boat — the one you can actually get. The 40 mm pump splits the difference between a high-speed and a high-pressure design, so it climbs rivers as happily as it rips down a lake.
Nothing on this boat is there because it was easy to model. Every feature earned its place by surviving a build, a season and a river.
What is in the download
- Every printed part of the KwikJet X V2 — hull, 40 mm jetpump, steering nozzle and reversing bucket
- The hybrid mixed-flow impeller, solved from equations rather than sketched, so mass flow stays constant as the hub swells under the blades
- Trim tabs and turning fins, plus the drawings to draw your own and experiment with the shapes
- The print-optimised roll-cage
- The 52-page KwikJet X V2 build guide: print order, assembly sequence and the hardware list to have beside you before you start
On the boat
- Ball steering. A ball-jointed nozzle linkage, so there is no slop to develop over a season.
- 40 mm jetpump. A 40 mm bore necked down to a 24.5 mm outlet — about 2.7× less area — so the motor’s power leaves as speed rather than swirl.
- Reversing bucket. Full reverse, and held halfway, the fine control that holds the boat still against a current.
- Heat-set inserts. Threaded brass throughout, unique to the X, so it survives being taken apart as often as you like.
- Direct drive. No gearbox between the motor and the impeller, and no delay between the trigger and the thrust.
- Shared hardware. Screws and the electronics layout carry straight over from the KwikJet. One spares box for both boats.

Speeds and runtimes depend on the motor, impeller and battery you choose. Figures we quote are what we have measured on our own builds.
What you need
- A printer with at least 210 × 210 × 200 mm of build volume
- A 0.4 mm nozzle and any standard slicer — Cura, PrusaSlicer, Simplify3D, OrcaSlicer
- Files supplied as .stl and .3mf
This is a download. The files stay in your account, so you can fetch them again whenever you need them. We do not ship printed parts yet — if you would rather have the parts printed, send us a quote request.
