Description
The one that started it.
KwikJet was our first jetboat, released on 4 January 2019, and it is still the boat we hand to someone building their first one. Depending on how you configure it you can see well over 50 km/h. It is built to shrug off the shallowest, nastiest water, and with almost no delay between the trigger and the thrust it is simply a very good time.
Small enough to throw in a bag, quick enough to keep you honest, and cheap enough that a mistake at the waterside is a lesson rather than a disaster.
Small bore. Serious bite.
A 35 mm pump sitting entirely inside the hull, driven straight off the motor, exiting through a 23.5 mm nozzle — about 2.2× less area, so the water has to leave that much faster than it travelled inside. There is no propeller to spool up and nothing under the hull to catch a rock. The whole assembly comes apart with a screwdriver, which is how it survives a season of shallow water.
The hull follows proven New Zealand jetboat design principles at 1/8 scale, with the jetpump printed as part of it and two cooling loops running through it.
What is in the download
- Every printed part of the KwikJet — hull, 35 mm integrated jetpump with its two cooling loops, nozzle and reversing bucket
- Both nozzle options: the robust steering nozzle with reversing bucket, or the 3D vectoring nozzle
- The 24-page KwikJet build guide, from bare plate to first run — print order, assembly sequence and the hardware to have beside you before you start
On the boat
- Over 50 km/h. Up to 52 km/h on a 3S pack, depending on the motor and impeller you choose.
- Up to 35 minutes. Around 35 minutes on two 2200 mAh 3S packs, so a session is limited by your attention span rather than the battery.
- Built for shallows. Nothing hangs below the hull. Rivers, gravel bars, water no propeller boat would survive.
- Reversing bucket. Full reverse and precise docking — the same mechanism the X inherited.
- Screws throughout. No heat-set inserts needed; everything is serviceable and everything is reachable.
- Shared hardware. Cross-compatible with the KwikJet X. Build one, then the other, from the same box of screws.

What you need
- A printer with at least 210 × 210 × 200 mm of build volume
- A 0.4 mm nozzle and any standard slicer — Cura, PrusaSlicer, Simplify3D, OrcaSlicer
- Files supplied as .stl
This is a download. The files stay in your account, so you can fetch them again whenever you need them. We do not ship printed parts yet — if you would rather have the parts printed, send us a quote request.
